Paralympics Tasks

Paralympics Tasks

For my reading activity I did one that is were I have a word and then I have to try get as many words as I can out, but the letters have to be the same as the original word. They word I had was 'Paralympian'.  I struggled with this word a little bit. If you do a 2 or 3 letter word you 1 point, if you do a 4 letter word you get 2 points, and if you do a 5 letter or over word you get 5 points. Here are my words. There is one name that I did.

Original word: Paralympian

My words: Man, mail, map, pan, Liam, air, play, nap, rap, ramp.

Total points: 13

  1. Hi Trinity,

Well done on coming up with 13 different words. Did you have any strategy that helped you to figure this out?
I also have a few more words I would like to add into your list: liar, lip, lay, ran, limp, pin. What do you think? Can you find more?

    1. Hi Miss Helen,
Thank you for commenting on my post. Thank you for your feedback. I didn't really have a strategy to get these words I kind just sat looking at the word 'paralympian' and when a word came to my mind I just write it down. I don't know if I will be able to find anymore. Have a good day. Stay safe.

  2. Hello Trinity!
I haven't done this task but it looks fun,
It's incredible to get 13 points!
When I gave it I try just a few days ago I only got 4.
I'm not really good at this stuff, never less spelling.
    Is "Main" a word?
I don't know, hope you have a great day and keep up the great work!

    1. Hi Ashly,
Thank you for commenting on my blog. Thank you for your feedback. I completely forgot to put in the word 'main'. I think I'm pretty good at spelling, but when it comes to things like this task I find it kinda hard. Have a good day.
