Writing

Writing

For writing I went onto pobble 365 and wrote another story.  This one was called the mirror in the attic.

She had found it lying alone, deserted, abandoned in the attic. After making the discovery, Anna had gazed and marvelled at it for some time. Where had it come from? Why had no dust settled upon it, as it had done over everything else that resided in her attic? A layer of the thick dust blanketed the attic floor, and as the sunlight glared through the attic windows, the dust particles yet to settle were illuminated as they hovered in the stuffy air. Yet, the mirror looked flawless, untouched by age, not a finger print in sight.

Anna propped the mirror up against one of the thick, timber beams that jutted from the attic floor. Settling down into a comfortable position, she tentatively placed a finger against the glass…

As she placed her finger down slowly something happened to the mirror and she intensely took her finger off and she was wondering what had happened to the mirror.  When Anna left the attic She stated confused she did not tell any one in her family about what happened to the mirror when she touched it. The next day she went back up to the attic to see if the mirror would go all funny. So she touched it and when she did nothing happened to it this time so she just left. When she went to go have lunch with her family her mum asked her what was wrong Anna said nothing. I am fine. When she was getting ready for bed she went back to the attic and she touched it all funny so she decided to put her whole hand into it and then she kept going deeper and deeper into the mirror when she was fully in the mirror she was confused because she was in a magical land.  When she saw the land she went back through the mirror to go to bed.  The next morning as her mum woke her up she told her mum to come to the attic with her so she did and when Anna showed her mum the mirror she placed her finger down and nothing had happened so her mum told her to come have some breakfast.  After breakfast she went back to the mirror and when she touched it went all funny so she yelled for her mum to come to her but when her mum came up nothing happened.

  1. Great story Trinity, I wonder why the mirror doesn’t change when her Mum is there? do you plan to continue the story. I would love to know what happens next.

  2. Hi Trinity,
What an interesting story! I agree with Ange and want to know what happens next. Does the mirror only change for certain people or at certain times of the day? It's great to see you being so creative in your story writing. Keep up the good work!
