Orana Wildlife Park 2019

Yesterday the whole Takitini hub got to go on an Orana Park trip.  Our educator's name is Elizabeth.  I learned so much about animals.  I learned lots and had fun.

I learned that the tiger is skin is also striped so If you take off its fur it stripes will still be there.

I learned that the giraffe's tounges are as long as our educator's arm.

I learned that giraffes have the same amount of neck bones as humans but they have longer bones.

I learned that the gorilla is our first cousin.

I learned that the male lions weigh more than the female lions.

I learned that the Orangutan likes to carry around a blanket.

They can jump their own height.

I learned that if the peacock has the big feather thing that means it is a male.

I learned that they have one of the most powerful bites in the world.

I learned that the rhino horns are made from a protein called keratin.

I learned that kunekune pigs can way up to 100kg

I learned that the turkey was named after the country Turkey.

Orana Park was so much fun but I still learned lots about these animals.

My next step is to learn more about the animals in Orana Park.
