My Dad

  My Dad

A choice activity today for school is to make a blog post about your dad or caregiver. I am doing one about my dad. I have to write about the things that make him special, things I love about him, etc.

My dad. I love my dad because he is a super cool guy, he works really hard every day to support the family and help us. My dad and I like some of the same things like cars, 4WD, mud, building things, rottweilers, need for speed, play fighting, listening to rock music, and spending time together. My sisters and I like to annoy him by calling him old man Jenkins, and Rodina Dwang. We like to go to the Waimakariri river to go 4WD and sometimes he gives me a driving lesson.

  1. Hi Trinity - well done on completing & sharing today's daily challenge! I really like how you presented your comments about your Dad & the inclusion of some photo's from when he was growing up. I learnt some really cool things about what you enjoy too & it's lovely to hear that you share a lot of these interests with your Dad. What is your most memorable 4WD adventure that you have been on together? It sounds like your Dad works very hard to ensure his family is taken care of & lots of fun to be around too. Keep safe. 1. Kia Ora Jen,
Thank you for commenting on my blog. My most memorable moment when going 4WD was when we were going down a track and dad was turning. When he was turning he got stuck between a log and a tree. Luckily someone came and they helped us get out. It was a pretty funny. Have a good day.

  2. Hi Trinity,

Thank you for making such a detailed post about your dad. I like the photo you included. How did you feel when looking back at your dad's photo? Do you think you take after him a lot?
Sounds like you and your dad share a lot of things together. Have you got any plan to surprise him on the upcoming Father's Day?

Enjoy your weekend and take care!

    1. Kia Ora Miss Helen,
It was weird looking at photos of my dad when he was younger. I don't think I take after him a lot, but a little bit. I have been told that I look like him though. On Sunday my sister, and I are gonna surprise dad by taking him out to have a picnic or something like that. Have a good day.

  3. Kia ora Trin,
Thank you for sharing your post about your Dad. Did you show him the post?
He definitely had a full head of hair when he was younger. You could always put up a recent photo of you and your Dad. I'm sure you will have many more special times with your Dad, especially when you both love doing the same things. I can imagine you buying a car when your older to do up and both of you working on it. When I was younger I used to love going hunting with my Dad. I had a black lab called Bramble and she used to fetch the birds my Dad shot. We would then have a yummy roast with the family after the day's shooting.
    Stay Safe,

  4. Kia Ora Trinity,
I like the way you came up with so many different things you love about your dad.
That's cool how you get driving lessons down at the Waimakariri.
Maybe next time you could create it on a google drawing, other than that it is great.
