Talking About Our Trees

 Talking About Our Trees

Today we had Mary from Orchards For Schools came back and talked to us about how we have to look after our trees. We learnt that we actually have to cut of any fruit that grows because the tree isn't strong enough to hold all the fruit. After talking to everyone about that we went off to look at out trees to see how they are doing. After that we went and looked at the tree at the front of the school to see how that was doing. Then Miss McCombie told us to go get a ruler to see how much our trees have grown. You do that by putting the bottom of the ruler at the wood part of the tree and see how much is has grown. My first tree grew 4 cm and then my other one grew 26 cm. When we planted the trees I was in a group with Leandri, Rihana, and Summer (from the upper middles). Miss McCombie also got some photos of us and the other plants. Do you like planting?

  1. Hi Trinity!
The photos looks beautiful! Is cutting of the fruits from the tree hard? Satisfying? Did you got to try? The photos were amazing but maybe you can put it in a google drawing or slide to make the post not so long, but otherwise it's awesome and keep up the great work!

  3. Morena Trinity,
I love how you have a sentence explaining each photo. The one that grew 26cm, do you think it grew faster because there were strawberries covering the tree's roots? What type of fruit tree's did you plant?
Next time you could make the pictures smaller so the post is shorter.
    Thanks for sharing.
