Day: 2, Activity :2 One Small Step for Man

Day: 2, Activity: 2 One Small Step for Man

For this activity, let’s imagine that you were Neil Armstrong.

We had to write a short poem describing how I felt when I first set foot on the moon. Here is a link to some different poetry forms.

*Please check out the Eye-Catching Blog Posts page for ideas!

Here is my poem.

It's Miss Waho here and I'm just having a look at your Summer Learning Journey work. Maybe for the next posts you do, if you can't think of a type of poem to write, use the link that is provided in the description. It says it in your post but then there isn't a link. I will keep having a look at your posts over the holidays.

  2. Mōrena Trinity,

    Me again. :)

Well done on completing yet another activity! I'm so pleased that you're so engaged in the programme. :)

I like that you've come up with an alternative way of completing this activity instead of not attempting it at all. Remember that you don't have to complete the activities in order so if you do find something a bit tricky, you can take your time to think about it and come back and post it later. We've provided a link on the Summer Learning Journey website that can help you with your poem writing. An acrostic poem is a good one to start with if you find writing poetry a little bit tricky. Why don't you give it a go using the word MOON.

    Have a lovely day, Trinity.

    Mā te wā,

    Mikey :)
